Dr.
Eric Reinertson
Music:
I
remember in high school being asked if I wanted to play in a band. A strange
request, I thought, since I wasn’t in choir or band and never had played an
instrument. But
I agreed
anyway, bought a bass guitar and amp and memorized about 50 songs that
were taught to me. One could probably say that I became infected with the music
bug. Over
the course of the last 25 years I have been in many different bands.
Bass has been my primary instrument until this band.
I received a 1960 reissue Gibson Les Paul as a Christmas gift from my
family and I took about a years worth of lessons. Now my focus is on lead and
rhythm guitar for most of our songs and bass on a select few.
It is both challenging and rewarding for me to play and to organize this
band. None
of the previous bands have had as much diversity as this one and I truly enjoy
this time away from life’s troubles.
Every day is better when the music is playing.

Paying Job:
I am a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Pekin, Illinois at the Women's
Center for Health.
Misc:
I was
born in 1960 in California and raised in North Dakota until college.
I entered Nursing School in Wyoming and that is where I met my beautiful
wife, Betty. We
were married in 1982 and now have two beautiful teenage daughters.
Both girls are extremely bright and musically talented and have performed
with Loose Shoes.
Although, I don’t have much spare time, I do like to travel, golf, fish, and work around the yard.
Of course, I like to attend all kinds of musical and theatres works and
really enjoy watching my girls perform at school, church and in public.
